Ready, Steady, Reset!

Fall is the perfect time to reset, re-energize and rejuvenate. There is something about it that feels like a fresh start… days are shorter, the trees are preparing to shed their leaves, and the air is nice and brisk.

Fall represents a chance to start over and reset. Whether it’s a push to reorganize your schedule, or a strong will to revamp your health and routine, fall is the perfect opportunity to overhaul summer habits and commit to a healthy lifestyle before the holidays hit!

Here are 5 simple ways to reset your lifestyle and reboot to a healthier, happier, more energized YOU!

  1. Drink more water. Start your day right by drinking water first thing in the morning. This will help hydrate your body and freshen your system for the day ahead. I like to jazz up my water by adding a few mint leaves, a wedge of lemon, a sprig of parsley, slices of cucumber, a twist of lime or a squeeze of orange to make water more tempting. Drink up and experience waters amazing benefits!

  2. Get moving. Often, as the weather cools down and cloudy days set in, it’s harder to get motivated to get going. It happens to the best of us! Like Nike says… Just do it! … put on your sneakers and go out for a walk, take a yoga class, go swimming… whatever activity you enjoy, just go out and do it. Physical activity will increase your energy, help relieve your stress, and best of all it gets your endorphins levels up making you happier!

  3. Take time to relax. Set some time aside to rest and rejuvenate; Enjoy time alone listening to music, reading a book, or enjoy a cup of tea. Take a long relaxing bath. Take a nap. Go in for a massage. Meditate… whatever you do, just take time out of your busy schedule to rest and relax. Often, this relaxation and peace of mind are what our bodies crave the most. Take time to yourself and give yourself much needed self-care, you deserve it!

  4. Revamp your diet. There are still a lot of summer residue in our diet, some good that includes all the fresh produce, but some not so good with all the summer treats and sweets. We are all guilty of indulging, I know I am… So it’s time to buckle up, reset our eating habits, and really clean up our diet. Try to focus on eating real whole foods; explore fresh fruits in season, double up on greens, grill meats, and prepare lot of healthy snacks to keep the hunger pangs at bay.

  5. Consider a reset to your nutrition. It’s hard to know what to do and eat to reset our eating habits, I’ve been there and I know how frustrating it can be. That’s why I created my 7 Day Detox that is based on eating real wholefoods with none of the crazy juicing or fasting involved, I promise! You will receive a step-by-step guidebook that comes with meal plan suggestions, recipes, grocery lists and everything you need to know about cleansing. This will help put your nutrition back on track, reset lingering summer habits, and set you up for the road to success.
